In this session at 1 PM, we will discuss "The Wager" by David Grann, a true story of shipwreck, mutiny, and murder that took place in 1742. (It’s not as long as it looks as has extensive notes and bibliography at the back).

Our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 19 at 9 am. We will be reading "Long Island" by Colm Toibin, which is the sequel to "Brooklyn".  I recommend watching the movie "Brooklyn" before the reading; it’s not mandatory, but I think it will enhance your experience.

Come join us on Monday 18th November at 10.30am at the Taft Museum to view their holiday displays.  Lunch to follow in the Lindbergh family cafe with soups, salads and sandwiches on the menu.
