Wondering what you can do with those old, used glass jars? Don't throw them away, instead decorate them with glass paint and turn them into one-of-a-kind works of art!

In this virtual workshop, you’ll learn how to transform glass jars into functional and decorative pieces of art that are perfect for holding pens, markers, flowers, paintbrushes or anything you want! Using transparent glass paints and metallic outliners, you’ll learn different techniques to decorate and paint two glass jars.

Rekha Krishnamurthi is a mixed media textile artist, surface designer and educator. She creates products for people who are looking to get crafty and learn new art forms.
Through her artfully made craft kits, online boutique and exclusive prints, she’ll inspire you to tap into your creative potential and artistic spirit. And when she is not in her studio, creating a new art kit or designing patterns, Rekha is working on DIY tutorials for her YouTube channel or experimenting in the kitchen trying out new recipes!

Supplies
Painting supplies (glass paints, paintbrushes, relief outliner) will be delivered to your door before the workshop, but there are some supplies you will need to prepare for the class on your own:
● 2 empty clear glass jars that are 5-7 inches (no need to buy anything new! Just repurpose glass jars that you already have - such as clear jars from spaghetti sauce, pickles, olives, etc.).
● Please, read the instructions on how to prepare your glass jars before the workshop.
● A table cover to protect your working area (a simple plastic table cloth from the Dollar store will be fine)
● A roll of paper towels
● Rubbing alcohol (this will be used to clean your brushes)
● A small container to hold the rubbing alcohol

We offer you two sessions to choose the one that suits you best. Each session lasts 2 hours. Select one session: either Tuesday, June 8 or Wednesday, June 9, 10am-12:00pm.
