October takes us to the village of Milford; a beautiful Italianate house upon a hill, to be exact! Historic Promont house was built in 1865 then purchased in 1879 by John M. Pattison, 43rd Governor of Ohio. After Pattison came into office, he fell ill and decided to take residence in Milford instead of the state capital. He directed the state government from Promont until his death on June 18, 1906. Today, it is owned and operated as a museum by members of the Greater Milford Area Historical Society, who will be taking us on a tour of the beautiful home with its enchanting original features and its period furnishings.
Following our tour, we will be escorted to the Victorian parlor where we will be served a high tea in style. Vintage linen, fine china, crystal glasses, elegant silverware, fresh-cut flowers, delicate sandwiches....a meal fit for HRH The Queen!!
Remember those fine lacey gloves you bought, hoping one day to get invited to the Royal Ascot?! These need to go back! Pronto!! However, if you DARE to WEAR a fancy yet tasteful hat, you might just be crowned Miss Elegance of the day!
So, channel your inner British royal self, and may the best headpiece win!
NOTE: The event is full, however, you can join the waiting list
