Pilates lengthens and stretches all major muscle groups in the body in a balanced fashion. It improves flexibility, strength, balance and body awareness. In Pilates, muscles are never worked to exhaustion, so there is no sweating or straining.
And it is not just designed to strengthen the muscles and improve balance. Through emphasis on breathing technique and mindful thinking, Pilates can help to reduce stress and anxiety, enhance concentration, and even improve sleeping habits.

About our instructor:
Anna earned her BFA in Modern Dance in 2003 from Ohio University. She obtained her comprehensive Pilates certification from Power Pilates in 2005. She danced professionally with Perceptual Motion Dance company from 2005-2009. Also, in 2010 she co-produced the Rebound Dance Festival in Chicago. In 2015 Anna decided to further her Pilates education and she received her certification from The Pilates Method Alliance. Currently, Anna has a studio at Reflexions Dance Arts in Blue Ash, Ohio and a second studio out of her home in Milford, Ohio.
