Come and learn about wild edibles and sustainably grown fruit and nut trees, berry shrubs and other perennials that grow in the Madisonville Foraging Woodland Garden (MFWG)!
The MFWG is a volunteer-led edible forest garden located at the crossroad between Erie Ave, Brotherton Ct and Red Bank Road in Madisonville, Ohio. It is part of the network of neighborhood gardens from the Civic Garden Center of Greater Cincinnati . Garden co-coordinator and PGITI member Laurence Deprez-Zenezini will give a tour of the garden. Participants will be asked to volunteer one hour of their time to help with weeding and mulching. A picnic on site will follow and may include a tasting of some edible plants and fruits depending on their availability.

Date: Wednesday 18 September 2019

SRVP by Friday 13 September 2019
Time: 10 to 12 followed by picnic if weather permits.
Location: Parking allowed at Tire Discounters on 4031 Red Bank Road. Take the pedestrian crossing to access the garden located right across Red Bank Rd.
Misc.: Dress for the weather (sun or rain) with working shoes. Bring your water bottle, garden gloves, knifes and other weeding tools if you have any. 

After the workshop, you are welcome to stay with us for a nice and relaxing lunch on site. Please bring your own lunch and we will provide the drinks.
