After a great AGM gathering, we still have one event left before we say goodbye for the summer
Dear PGITI Members,
We hope you are enjoying the spring season in Cincinnati despite the wildly fluctuating weather. Although a bit of variety makes things interesting, it also makes planning events (including our own May event) a little more challenging. So for those you who are finalizing plans for graduations or other celebrations this month, we wish you many, many congratulations and best of luck with the weather.
On the subject of celebrations, thanks to everyone who helped organize and/or attended our AGM on April 26th. What a great event it was! Wasn’t it heartwarming to see everyone back together again with smiling faces? There was so much positive energy in the room it was literally buzzing. And didn’t the grazing plate look and taste delicious? We hope the beautiful design will inspire everyone to make their own versions.
Looking forward, we still have one event left before we say goodbye for the summer. As mentioned last month, had planned to go to the zoo but unfortunately due to a number of issues, the zoo can no longer provide the facilities we agreed. Thus we’ll finish this year with a History & Brewing Heritage Tour on May 19th, 2022 (10am – 12am) which will take us downtown and where we’ll step into the past and discover the people who made brewing a cornerstone of the Queen City’s history. Look out for the invite you’ll receive within the next couple of days.
Separately, we are very sad that our lovely coffee co-chair, Aga Kawala, is leaving us to return to Poland. However we are fortunate that Elizabeth Thornton and Imama Qayoom have (re) volunteered to help us. We wish Aga all the best for this new chapter of her life and look forward to working with Elizabeth and Imama.
Finally, while it is brilliant that these two members have stepped up, we still need to fill the other open positions on our Lead Team and Interest Groups. If you are interested please reach out to us - we would love to have you on board. Please contact us atThis email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. !
