Great start into the new year!
Dear PGITI Members,
Happy Spring Festival 2023, the year of the rabbit. We hope it brings all of you peace, longevity and prosperity!
Before we discuss our program, we would like to thank Bubby Mavlankar for joining our Lead Team as one our Coffee Connections and Events Chairs. A very warm welcome to Bubby!
To kick off our program, we were excited to hold our very first Social event on Jan 10th. For those who joined, it was a great opportunity to connect with friends old and new in a relaxed and informal way. Many thanks to Kathryn Garner for opening her home to host the event and to all who helped her!
For the many people who came to the Winter Party on Jan. 28th, we were delighted to see you all enjoying the delicious food, skating, and the amazing mentalist show. Many thanks to our Coffee team and everyone else involved for what was (literally) a magical evening!
It’s hard to believe we are already in Feb, and approaching our third event of the year, The Rookwood Pottery and Findlay Market Tour on Feb. 15th. Spaces are filling up, so don’t hesitate to sign up on the website, and to look out our other upcoming events.
On the completely separate topic of living in Cinci...did you know that our website includes a ton of useful information to help you navigate life here? In fact, this month our website team have put together a special article telling you about some of the key resources that are available. We encourage you to read this and explore the website further in your own time. Also, look out for future articles about our Website as we strive to provide you with as many tools as possible to settle in and enjoy Cinci to the full.
Linked to this, we’d like to draw your attention to the section under the resources menu, called “ Worklife Solutions”. The Expatriate Employee Assistance Program (EEAP) is a confidential and professional support service provided by LifeWorks. This helps you and your dependents (living with you abroad or back home) address a wide area of life issues and challenges. The EEAP is available 24/7 and has experts in a variety of local languages. You’ll find more information about the service on our website. If you have questions about the service, feel free to reach out to us.
Thank you for your participation and support in delivering a great start to the year! We hope that you’ll all stay warm and safe in Cincinnati and look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events.
