Welcome PGITI community to a new fiscal year, and welcome to our new secretary chair, Kathryn, and interest groups chair, Nicole!
Dear PGITI Members,
On behalf of PGITI and our PGITI lead team I would like to welcome you back after the summer break. I hope that you and your families had nice and relaxing summer.
We recently had the pleasure of having an in-person Welcome Back Coffee at the Kenwood Country Club organized by our Coffees Team Aga and Barbara. They chose the ideal outdoor covered area at the Club, enabling us to comply with Corona safety recommendations. Many of our members took this opportunity to attend and it became obvious how much we have all missed in-person events and how virtual events can never fully replace the benefits of being in-person. As you all know the Corona pandemic and our responsibility to keep our members safe when we meet, forced us to have our events mostly online over the last year. Nevertheless, our team and our members did a very good of job of organizing and supporting these online events and we will still have a mix of online and in-person events and activities over this coming PGITI year as we continue adapting to the Corona situation. We have already begun working on these and have a lot in the pipeline that you will have the chance to enjoy!
I also would like to welcome our new secretary Kathryn who will help us fulfill our obligations as legal entity and our interest groups chair, Nicole, who will keep our communication and contact with the interest and language groups and group leaders ongoing.
The whole PGITI lead team is now looking forward to the new 2021/2021 season and see you in person or online.
