We wish you all a very happy Winter Holiday season, with lots of good fortune for the year ahead
Dear PGITI Members,
We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving period and are getting ready for the Winter Holidays.
For those that were fortunate to join the Diwali event, what a wonderful celebration of Indian Culture it was! Many thanks to our Coffee Team and Indian Subcontinent Interest group for their joint leadership of that event. For those who joined the ‘Get Crafty’ event we hope you had fun and made something beautiful to give or to treasure.
Looking towards the New Year, we have several fun events including our much loved Winter Party, a Rookwod Pottery tour and a hike in the French Park. Check our website and the beautiful postcard from our wonderful Newsletter team for more details.
As PGITI volunteers, we do our utmost to make sure we create fun events at a good value for everyone. We also recognize that life happens, plans change and that our members need flexibility. As a result, we have always given refunds for cancellations made by any means and at any point in time.
Unfortunately, recently the number of cancellations has been growing, risking the chance of someone being missed and creating losses for everyone. As result we are putting in place a clearer and fairer process which we would like everyone to follow.
Here is how you can help. Going forward, we ask that you make all cancellations by email only, directly to the event organizers.
Refund requests for cancellations received before the deadline will still be honored. However these will now be net of the initial 5% Paypal booking fee (which is no longer refunded to PGITI).
An important change is that requests received after the deadline will be now only be given at the discretion of the event organizers.
Net, if you find yourself needing to cancel, please contact only the event organizers immediately. Details of how to do this will be on the event page and in the confirmation email.
Thanks in advance to all of you for your commitment to PGITI and your help in making this new system work. We wish you all a very happy Winter Holiday season, with lots of good fortune for the year ahead.
